In the early 1970s, Mark Taylor—son of world-renowned instrument collector and dobro player Tut Taylor—teamed up with his father to build copies of classic bluegrass instruments under the “Tut Taylor Music” name. This 1970s Mark Taylor Resonator Banjo is a great example of his work and an excellent copy of the iconic Mastertone template. This banjo is an absolute bluegrass machine—it pops, it drives, it keeps rolling on. In 2011, this banjo was refurbished by Rob Smith at Heartland Banjos in Galltin, Tenn. Because of the recent setup improvement, this Mark Taylor resonator banjo plays and sounds like it should. Please call (970) 728-9592 or e-mail for an in-hand description.
